Even though in the novel the capital arc wasnt exciting, the donghua changes were very well done, made it more exciting and interesting
It also shows the contrast between the world of mortals vs immortals, like lol at the young master pissing in his pants now that he realised he offended an immortal

This part of the novel... donghua is meant to show the difference between Mortals and Immortals and the solitude Han Li felt being born of the 'bridge' between mortals and immortals as he was born in a mortal family and became an Immortal. So he is either here nor there. His parents will pass away in about 10-20 years tops, when he reach Core Formation Stage, so will be his little sister and Mo Caihuan. But he doesn't feel a home with his Disciple Siblings and Chen Qiaoqian (The girl who likes him)

You can see they are not on the same page from his expressions walking through the mid-autumn festival. Their mindset is holiday, he is filled with melancholy at how cultivators are different, yet shares so many similarities with mortals and now, all he can do is carry on or everything he did to get this far will be for nothing.

I have a bad feeling about this. Some of his party are going to die.

The Han Li and the girls will be fine, that's all that matters :P

Having to coerce the MC into a date is hilarious, he's been running away and dodging pu$$y left and right, and these women are just throwing it at him too like "catch it dummy" aha.
